HANDLING

With a stronger, lighter frame and advanced suspension technology, the Accord is a complete joy to drive. Combining MacPherson struts at the front and an independent multi-link suspension at the rear, it offers intuitive control and greater stability.

ECO ASSIST

Honda’s Eco Assist works as a visual coaching system, changing the colour of your speedometer to help you drive more efficiently. When you accelerate heavily, the speedometer will glow white. Drive in a smooth, controlled way and the display glows an encouraging green.

TRANSMISSION AND PADDLE SHIFTERS

Both variants feature a smooth, precision engineered CVT with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters for a pleasurable driving experience.

Hybrid drive mode uses the petrol engine to charge the Hybrid battery whilst the electric motor still allows you to produce powerful acceleration.

HYBRID I-MMD

The new Accord Hybrid is powered by Honda’s 2 motor Intelligent Multi Mode Drive (i-MMD) engine. It features a 2.0-litre 16-valve DOHC Atkinson cycle engine with greater than 40 per cent thermal efficiency. Not only does it have the honour of being the most fuel efficient Honda in Australia. It also generates up to 158kW* of power.

ECON MODE

At the touch of a button, ECON Mode adjusts the performance of the engine, transmission and air conditioning to help maximise fuel economy.

PETROL ENGINE

Power, refinement and fuel efficiency are the hallmarks of every Honda engine, and the Accord fulfills that reputation with a 1.5L i-VTEC turbo offering formidable performance.

CLIMATE CONTROL

i-dual-zone climate control allows you and your front passenger to independently adjust the temperature. Plus, GPS-linked solar sensors calculate the sun’s position and automatically adjust cabin temperature to compensate.

PUSH BUTTON START

Once inside, you need only push the start button while pressing the brake pedal to start the engine.

LANEWATCH

Designed to minimise one of the most notorious blind spots, LaneWatch really has got your back. Mounted on your passenger’s door mirror, the blind spot camera projects vision onto the Advanced Display Audio from the moment you signal left or push a button.

SMART KEYLESS ENTRY

As long as the key fob is in your possession, the Accord will sense your approach and unlock the doors as soon as you touch the front handles or boot release. Plus, with remote engine start you can start the car’s engine from outside of the car before you’re even seated.

HIGH-BEAM SUPPORT SYSTEM (HSS)

Once, it was a courtesy to dim your high-beam headlights as other vehicles approached. Now your car does it for you. Thanks to the Accord’s high-tech image sensor, you can stop worrying and keep your focus on the road.

PARKING SENSORS

Slip in or out of tight spots with ease thanks to the Accord’s front and rear parking sensors. With both a visual and audible alert, they’ll let you know how much space exists between you and the nearest object.

VEHICLE STABILITY ASSIST (VSA)

This technology helps keep the Accord on course in adverse driving conditions by detecting, then mitigating, potential understeer or oversteer. When necessary, VSA automatically reduces engine power and manages brake pressure to individual wheels to help regain control.

EMERGENCY STOP SIGNAL (ESS)

If an emergency situation forces you to brake heavily, drivers behind you need as much warning as possible. Emergency Stop Signal does just that, automatically flashing the hazard lights in the event of hard braking to reduce the chance of a rear-end collision.

SIX AIRBAGS

The clever Honda i-SRS driver airbag system inflates at different rates depending on crash severity, seatbelt usage and a host of other factors to keep you safe behind the wheel. Dual front, side and full-length curtain airbags are standard.

HILL START ASSIST (HSA)

Hill Start Assist prevents ‘roll back’ when starting on an incline. The system controls brake pressure, keeping the car stationary for a moment after you release the brake pedal.

TYRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM (TPMS)

Be alerted long before it becomes an issue. The Tyre Pressure Monitoring System keeps track of the pressure in all four tyres and reports to you if one is getting low.

ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL - To help combat driver fatigue, Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow allows you to set your desired speed, as well as set the following distance behind the vehicle detected ahead.
COLLISION MITIGATION BRAKING SYSTEM - Our Collision Mitigation Braking System helps detect and prevent a potential collision. Where impact is imminent, a strong emergency brake will be applied automatically as well as a tightening of the seatbelt to protect the car’s occupants.
LANE KEEP ASSIST SYSTEM - In conjunction with the LDW system, if no immediate action is taken to correct your course, Lane Keeping Assist uses corrective steering to help bring your car back into your lane.
ROAD DEPARTURE MITIGATION SYSTEM - Upon detecting an off-road drift without indication, the Road Departure Mitigation System will automatically apply braking force and corrective steering to help bring you back into your lane.
LANE DEPARTURE WARNING - Using the same camera as the FCW system, Lane Departure Warning detects the boundaries of your lane and alerts you should you begin to drift out of it.
FORWARD COLLISION WARNING - Forward Collision Warning is our safeguard for drivers in moments of distraction. Using visual and audible alerts, FCW warns you of your proximity to another vehicle in an effort to avoid collision.
