Your guide to charging your MG Electric Vehicle

MG Motor has partnered with ChargeFox, Australia’s largest EV charging network, to offer their customers access to the ChargeFox network. This means that MG ZS EV owners can use any of the ChargeFox charging stations across the country to charge their vehicles. As of 2023, ChargeFox has over 600 charging stations in Australia, and they are expanding their network every year. The charging stations are conveniently located along major highways, in shopping centres, and in other high-traffic areas.

Charge Fox – Public Charging

ChargeFox offers two types of charging stations: fast chargers and ultra-fast chargers. Fast chargers can deliver up to 50kW of power, which can charge an MG ZS EV from 0% to 80% in just 40 minutes. Ultra-fast chargers, on the other hand, can deliver up to 350kW of power, which can charge an MG ZS EV from 0% to 80% in just 20 minutes. The ChargeFox app allows MG ZS EV owners to locate and navigate to charging stations, monitor their charging progress, and pay for their charging session.

MG Motor also offers their customers a home charging solution. The MG ZS EV comes with a portable charging cable that can be plugged into any standard power outlet. However, this method of charging is slow and not recommended for daily use. MG Motor recommends that its customers install a wall-mounted charging unit, which can deliver up to 7.2kW of power and can fully charge the MG ZS EV in 7.5 hours.

JET Charge – At Home Solution

MG Motor has partnered with JET Charge, a leading EV charging solutions provider, to offer their customers a discounted home charging package. The package includes the installation of a wall-mounted charging unit, a charge cable, and a 3-year subscription to the ChargeFox network. The package is available for $1,990, which is a significant discount from the retail price.
