Enter the new era of a connected driving experience. In a Hyundai-first for Australia, Digital Key 2 allows you to unlock and start your IONIQ 9 with your compatible smartphone.
Breathing room and then some. Step into a space of limitless comfort, fit with front and rear relaxation seats* and a slidable centre console* with ample storage for your everyday needs.
* Only available in the 6-seater variant.
Drive on a cloud. Individual air pockets in the cushion, back and bolsters of the IONIQ 9’s driver seat are designed to optimise support, reduce fatigue and keep you comfortable on longer drives.
Sit back and unwind. The seats in the first and second rows* can fully recline with a leg rest for weightless body pressure distribution. Depending on the configuration, up to four people can recline during vehicle charging or rest stops.
* Second-row relaxation seats only available in the 6-seater variant.
Don’t miss a thing. Connected to a camera mounted at the rear of the vehicle, the centre mirror can switch to display an unobstructed and wider-angle view behind the car. It can also provide a clearer image at night, where visibility through the rear is not ideal.
Stay in tune with your surroundings. Traditional side mirrors can switch to 7-inch OLED monitors displaying the view from side cameras, providing a wider-angle view. The IONIQ 9’s optional DSM system improves on previous iterations by having the cameras mounted closer to the body of the car and having the monitors along the normal sightlines of traditional side mirrors.

Comfortably seat up to 7 passengers, or fold down the powered second and third rows to create extra space.
The closest thing to zero gravity—the second-row captain chairs can recline with a touch of a button. The seats also feature an integrated footrest, keeping you extra comfortable on longer journeys*.
* Available on 6-seater variants only.
Turn the cabin into your dream haven. Fully customisable ambient mood lighting in the IONIQ 9 offers soft, indirect illumination that reflects your personality and sets the tone to match your mood.
Cool in summer, warm in winter. Stay comfortable all year round with first and second-row climate-controlled seats.
Divided into upper and lower sections, the slidable centre console has an impressive 18L of total capacity. Plus, the bidirectional console lid can be opened from the front and rear, allowing for easy access from the second row.
A signature of the IONIQ range, these futuristic cube projection headlamps create a distinctive light pattern. They’re further enhanced by the Intelligent Front-lighting System (IFS), which automatically adjusts beam direction and intensity for optimal visibility without being intrusive to others on the road.
Underpinning the IONIQ 9’s confident stance, turbine-like alloy wheels enhance style and performance.
The sleek exterior and aerodynamics of the IONIQ 9 are enhanced by flush-fitting door handles that pop out when unlocked and feature indirect lighting for visibility in the dark.
At 3,130mm, the IONIQ 9 has the longest wheelbase of any Hyundai passenger vehicle, contributing to its expansive interior cabin and grand presence.
Continuing the IONIQ theme of pixel-fused seamless integration, a streamlined roof meets a rising lower line to create a dynamic look.
OTA software updates mean your IONIQ 9 is always up to date with the latest features and software enhancements—all without needing to visit a service centre.*
* Subject to vehicle connectivity.
Access maps, entertainment, and more on the dual 12.3” wide curved displays, which provide an interconnected experience between the instrument cluster, navigation, and multimedia touchscreen. Plus, experience the added convenience of wireless Apple CarPlay[P3] and Android Auto[P4].
Stay connected with six 100W high-output interior USB‑C ports in the first, second and third rows. Unlike traditional USB ports reliant on a 12V battery, the IONIQ 9 sources power directly from the high-voltage battery for uninterrupted use.
Pump up the volume and experience all 14 BOSE® speakers with crisp, powerful 5.1-channel surround sound—delivering rich, immersive audio fidelity to every seat.
A Hyundai first, ANC‑R is like an in-built pair of noise-cancelling headphones. Microphones positioned inside the IONIQ 9 monitor the noise transmitted from the road surface and then generate sounds to cancel them out. This works in tandem with the standard sound-absorbing tyres and acoustic glass, helping to achieve a whisper-quiet cabin.
Type 2 to type 2 public charging cable allows you to connect your IONIQ 9 with a public AC charging station that requires you to BYO charging cable. The 5m cable is easily coiled to be stored in your car and compatible with single phase and three phase charging stations.
Upgrade your EV charging experience with our home charging range offering fast 32A charging and dynamic load balancing features, plus a 7-inch touchscreen display for intuitive, real-time control. Monitor your charging sessions, adjust settings, and view detailed reports directly from the screen, providing a fully customisable and interactive solution for your home charging needs.
Signalling left or right with the IONIQ 9’s indicators will activate the Blind-Spot View Monitor (BVM). This safety system can see cars travelling in rear blind spots and projects real-time video onto the 10.25” digital instrument cluster, giving you a more complete driving picture to respond to.
This multi-camera parking safety system generates a 360-degree bird’s eye view around your IONIQ 9 from various viewpoints, including top, front, rear, left and right, displaying them on your 12.5” multimedia touchscreen to assist you in successfully manoeuvring tight parking situations.
When you are slowly reversing the IONIQ 9, such as in a garage or parking spot, and the PCA‑R system anticipates a collision with an obstacle, the system warns the driver with visual, audible, and haptic warnings while engaging the vehicle’s emergency brakes to help prevent the collision.
Driver Attention Warning (DAW) analyses your driving behaviours over time. If it notices signs of fatigue or recognises you’ve been driving continuously for an extended period, pop-up messages and audible warnings will suggest you take a break.
Turning into oncoming traffic at a road junction is made safer with the FCA front camera/radar system. As soon as your IONIQ 9’s indicator is turned on, the system is designed to detect oncoming obstacles like vehicles, cyclists and motorbikes, and alert you to take extra care. If the system detects that danger is imminent, it applies emergency braking to avoid an impact.
Like a second set of eyes, this system uses radar sensors in the rear bumper to look out for vehicles in the driver’s rear blind spot. When BCA detects a vehicle in those blind spots, it provides audible alerts and can automatically assist with braking, to help keep you out of harm’s way.
This courteous and convenient feature scans the road ahead for approaching headlights, then automatically adjusts your lights to low beam, then back to high when there’s no oncoming headlights.
LFA uses the IONIQ 9’s front windshield-mounted camera to detect lane markers and preceding traffic on the road and provides steering assistance to help you stay safely centred in your lane while driving.
This steering-assist function detects lane markings on the road to monitor your position in a lane. Should you stray from a lane without activating your indicators, an audible and visual warning will be sounded, and under certain conditions, steering intervention will activate to help you in your lane.
When backing out from a parking spot, RCCA detects vehicles approaching from the left or right. The sensor will issue an audible alert and visual warning on the dashboard and, if necessary, will initiate a braking manoeuvre.
This system monitors the opening and closing of the IONIQ 9’s rear doors to help make sure no people or items are accidentally left behind inside. When the driver stops the engine and opens their door to exit, ROA will display a “check rear seats” alert message in the instrument cluster.
When a passenger tries to open a door, this system detects oncoming vehicles approaching from the rear and alerts the driver that it may be dangerous for passengers to exit the IONIQ 9, with both a sound and a pop-up visual warning appearing on the dashboard.
