Australian Motors Group wishes to advise that it was recently the subject of a break in to its business premises which led to the theft of some corporate laptops. These laptops are almost certain to have contained Names, Addresses, Signature’s, Banking Details, Car Registration Numbers and Phone Numbers of our customers. As a result, this constitutes as a Notifiable Data Breach under the Privacy Amendment (Notifiable Data Breaches) Act 2017. Australian Motors Group has notified the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required and has undertaken steps to prevent future occurrences such as this. Individuals concerned they may be affected by this breach are encouraged to contact the OAIC for assistance.
