The quick revving 292.4 cc DOHC liquid cooled engine offers punchy low to mid range torque, allowing quick acceleration off the line. Handling is smooth and stable, mainly due to the 37mm upside down forks and single rear shock. Braking feels solid and features hydraulic disc brakes with Continental ABS. The single-cylinder engine produces 21.4kW at 8750rpm and 25.3 Nm at 7250rpm. It has a quick-revving nature and a strong torque curve that provides a remarkably smooth power delivery.

Keeping up with modern times, a large coloured TFT display is clear and informative, along with bright LED lights. The TFT display features two interfaces— Sport and Eco, with screen brightness that auto-adjusts to ambient light. The full-colour LCD instrument display offers integrated functions such as rpm, gear indicator, speed and even mobile phone connectivity.

As this bike would be focused on luring in new, beginner riders, the added safety feature of ABS is very appealing and a great addition to the bike.

  • Muscular profile and aggressive stance
  • Speed and beauty drawn together

The seating position is tucked in quite an aggressive riding stance. Handle bars are low and footpegs positioned high and back. With that being said, the ergonomics are far from being as sport orientated as say a CBR600RR (A fully fleshed out supersport). This means that riders will still feel comfortable during an everyday commute. Overall, CFMOTO has done well with the 300SR ABS, ticking all the right boxes when it comes to a nice beginner motorcycle.
