Available now in Australia is the 2021 V-Strom 650XT, Suzuki’s highly praised mid-range adventure tourer. The V-Strom legacy is all about affordable and fun adventure riding, and this year is no different.

The versatility is where the bike shines. Perfect for long distance touring, commuting or even a trip in the twisties, the V-Strom 650XT can handle it all. This is largely due to the well powered engine and added technology features.

The 645cm3 DOHC V-twin is tuned to deliver exceptional low to mid-range torque whilst maintaining an exhilarating top-end beating out 52kW @8,800rpm with 62Nm of torque @6,500rpm. It has a pretty linear power delivery across the rev range, yet felt it most and performed the best in the mid revs.

The dash cluster features both a tachometer and digital indicator for the gear position and speedometer. It’s a great blend of modern meets traditional, and helps reduce the price, as coloured TFT displays in other modern motorcycles are rather expensive. For what you get, it works perfectly, displaying the odometer, twin-trip meter, clock, fuel level, coolant temperature, ambient temperature, battery voltage, range on remaining fuel, average and instantaneous fuel consumption, and traction-control modes.

As this is a tourer, Suzuki has fitted the V-Strom 650XT with a 12V DC outlet positioned directly below the instruments. This is a great addition for charging your phone on the go. Very practical.
