Wanting to begin your Harley Davidson® journey, yet don’t know exactly where to start? Maybe you haven’t ridden for a couple years and thinking of getting back into the addicting lifestyle?
Well, the Harley Davidson® Sportster line-up is a great place to begin your search. Today will be looking a little closer at the most affordable option Harley® offers in the new 2021 range – The Harley Davidson® Iron 883™. When first approaching the Iron 883™, it features distinctive Harley® styling throughout, from the tank shape to the elegant back end. Styling wise, the Iron 883™ is clean and minimalist, equipped with Harley’s® most simplistic technologies and components. Black was a huge movement in the 2021 Harley® models, and specially present here, with the black powder-coated 883cc engine with black rocker covers.
Pretty much anywhere you look, your eyes will be seeing black. It’s modern, contemporary and timeless, so this isn’t a complaint. Not to mention, the little chrome on the bike makes cleaning very manageable – less time cleaning more time riding.
We created paint jobs with colours that look right against the backdrop of the urban grid, and don’t need a lot of maintenance. These are tough finishes, as mean as the meanest street.
Colours Available For Harley Davidson Iron 883™ 2021:
- Black Denim
- River Rock Gray Denim
- Deadwood Green
- Snake Venom (+ $995 to MSRP)
Let’s talk power, as paint and chrome… don’t get you home. The rubber-mounted 883cc Evolution™ engine revs hard and rides smooth, producing a maximum engine torque of 68Nm @ 4,750 rpm.
Adjustable rear shocks come standard on the Sportster line up, which is a very big plus. Referring to your owners manual, riders can self adjust the rear suspension with a wrench – ideal for their riding weight.
The front end is fairly bare, presenting a small front wheel fairing (which looks rather sleek), and a clean handlebar setup. Dials and navigational buttons are glove friendly and easy to operate. The speedo sits nicely within the front end and follows the Iron 883™ styling. When sitting on the machine, a low-rise, slammed black drag-style handlebar is an old-school garage feature that puts you in a forward, aggressive riding position The lower, more bent forwards riding position allows for sharper cornering and easier manoeuvring of the bike.
