Details on the Triumph’s new Bobber has been released! Retaining the same stripped-back custom bodywork of the previous generations, the new Bobber adds all the latest technology and systems, making it one of the most jaw droppingly stunning and thrilling bikes in Triumphs range.
We have seen the blacked out style throughout many manufactures such as Harley Davidson and Indian, and now Triumph follows suit, with a new chunkier, darker aesthetic. Still maintaining its stable looks and custom curves, the darker aesthetic gives a modern touch to the classic looking bike. Now with an enhanced engine performance for an even more responsive ride and higher spec’d safety technology, Triumph’s new Bobber is equipped with modern luxury.
Powered using the latest generation of the Bonneville 1200cc, a high torque British twin engine, the power delivery is smooth and linear. Thanks to a 270 degree firing interval, the engine has a punchy torque curve, allowing for instant acceleration throughout the rev range. Peak talk is 106 Nm at a low 4,000 rpm and peak power is 78hp at 6,100 rpm.
Now with a new and larger 12 litre fuel tank, Bobber allows for 33% more range.
Triumph’s sophisticated ride-by-wire system ensures precise throttle control and enables the two enhanced riding modes – ‘Road’ and ‘Rain’. Adjusting the throttle response and traction control setting, these two modes drastically change the riding experience and help add safety in certain riding conditions.
Completing the Bobber feel and aesthetic is the straight-line exhaust pipe, delivering rich and raw Bobber sounds. It’s also worth mentioning that Triumph offers a range of accessories for the Bobber, which include high bar set-up, luggage and choice of seating options. Triumph understands that many customers will be modifying their Bobber to better suit their needs, and Triumph has strategically designed the new model to assist in exactly that.
