And this is no understatement. Triumph has built this new Speed Triple RS from the ground up and is without a doubt… impressive.
The specs alone are attractive! The new 1,160cc motor claims to push out 180hp and weighs a staggeringly light 437 pounds (198kg). The newly redesigned engine is responsible for the elevated power performance, which incorporates a new stacked gearbox and a displacement increase. Spec’d out with the latest Öhlins suspension, a quickshifter, keyless ignition and five rider modes, this truly is a premium built machine.
The updated 5-inch TFT dash is highly visible, and acts as the central hub, operating Traction Control and other electronic features.
Aesthetically, the Speed Triple RS is clean, polished and modernly shaped. Keeping the bodywork elegant and streamline, the motor can be seen at centre stage. It still maintains extracts from older models, such as the iconic twin-headlamp setup, but has undergone a facelift for 2021. The trademark twin exhaust has been replaced with a single piped exhaust. This is done for a more efficient system and a weight centralization to help the bike’s handling.
A large effort has been made to hide and protect exploded cables, hoses and connectors, making the bike look immaculate.
